fave things today 10/3/2007

1. its my mom's birthday - love her dearly!
2. cam's got a fave new word; I think he got it from Pickle. "Uh oh!"
3. I got TWO sets of coupons from Archivers in the mail.
4. Glamour also came in the mail. I love it!
5. I get to pick out a coach purse tomorrow. Even though its not for me I still lovehelping to pick one out. (It's for Darren's wife for her birthday gift.)
6. i learned how to make iron ons so I can make BOY TRIBE t-shirts.
7. ANTM!
8. I get to party at JW's on Saturday, and the day is starting with a massage at 9 am!
9. Corna and I got into the class on the 10th with JW!

1. effing september is finally over. QC is DTM.
2. MAC order day! its better then christmas.
3. Elsie's blog. serious i am in love with this crazy girl! And that led me to #4
   
4. red velvet art. one day I hope to as cool as these crafty bee-yotches. and I got basically this whole elsie line from natalie!
5. I found out my niece is going to be named Gwyneth. How fab is that?
   

some good advice and something I'm excited about

I wanted to share some simple, good advice that I read in a magazine the other day. It said the best way to get your kids to behave is pay attention to them when they are being good. So many people take the moments when their children are playing quietly to go change the laundry, do the dishes, etc. This is the time to pay attention, tell them they are being good and give them praise for sitting quietly. If we only pay attention when they are being crazy monsters then they will be crazy monsters to get our attention.

Anyway, who knows it is true, but I thought it made sense.

The thing I am excited about is my shutterfly stock. I always excited to buy stock in a company when I feel like I spend my whole paycheck there. So far it has worked well for me. I purchased 50 shares of shutterfly at 15.00 a share and now it is at 32.25. So, my 800 bucks turned into 1600. WOOT WOOT. I have probably gained back what I have spent at Shutterfly.

my thoughts for today

1. something I really dislike - those little stick figure stickers that people put on their back window of their suburban. Especially when they have 8 of them. I hate those annoying suckers.

2. Creating Keepsakes announced their newest Scrapbooker of the year, she pretty much the cutest thing ever. And she probably has those stickers I was just talking about. Check out her blog here.

3. I am excited about the OFFICE and Earl this week.

4. I have to make baby shower invites for my soon to be here niece! Here's to hoping she and Cam don't have the same birthday. (Due date is 12/26!) Anyway I would love any cute ideas!

5. it cost me 82 bucks for an oil change yesterday, and i had a coupon for a free oil change. someone please explain that to me. EFFE.

6. JW- I didn't go the sale which is probably a good thing. I did however hit Michaels on Sunday ($15) and Roberts yesterday ($20) I have a serious serious problem.

Okay, where are my girls. I put up a great post yesterday and had 0 readers. Corna has an excuse, she has my baby today.

Anyway. Who is excited for the all new Earl and the office next week. Both premieres are an hour long episode!

2. Is anyone going to brave the Making Memories sale next week? if I go it would have to be Monday but I am not loving the idea of driving to centerville to fight the crazy people.

Fave things today

1. ANTM returns. Tyra, Miss Jay and Jay return in all their frills and fabulousity. What could be better. My early pick for drama - quite obviously Ebony, who's mama is a crackhead. Literally. My early pick to go a long way but not win - Seleisha. Weirdest moment - when Tyra got on all fours, butt in the air and got a psuedo- kitty cat wax from one of the girls. Miss Jay was absolutely speechless. A little too early to pick a winner.



2. JW - Mrs Backers is the name of the Bakery. Its on South Temple and its been there for like 100 years or something insane. I got my wedding cake there! Yesterday I shared my cakes with Rachel. One was Chocolate mint and the other was Chocolate cake with Rum Frosting and pineapple in the middle. YUMMMMMMMM



3. The other girls said I was way too mean to JW with my comment about 0/3 on the gift exchanges. You know I love you JW:)

4. Anyone want to do something this Saturday during the day? Husband has a bass fishing tournament.
